Experimenting with natural dyes and colour
Join Jo, the Woven Owl for a day of playing with natural colures – make your own charcoal, tie-dye with colours from things you can find in your own kitchen (fabric will be provided or bring your own tee-shirt to dye), decorate eggs in a way going back hundreds of years, and have a go at the art of hapa-zome to create beautiful notelets or cards, and learn things you can forage to create your own inks .
Bring a packed lunch and drinks which we will supplement with pancakes and blackberries cooked over the open fire
