Chris will share anecdotes from his illustrious 20-year professional career, which lasted from 1978 to 1998, playing for clubs including Newcastle United, Sunderland, Burnley,
Sheffield Wednesday, Marseille and Tottenham Hotspur.
Chris achieved so much in the game, playing for England 62 times, winning the French Championship three times with Marseille and being named the 1993 Football Writers
Footballer of the Year.
In 1987, Chris recorded the song “Diamond Lights” in a duet with Spurs and England teammate Glenn Hoddle. The song reached number 12 in the UK Singles Chart in May of
that year and the pair appeared on Top of The Pops. Chris is now a respected football writer and also a voice on BBC Radio Five Live, offering a unique insight into the game
he loves.
