Britain's What's On Event Guide
Tryfan + Bristly Ridge, North Wales 17th August
This is suitable to all with an intermediate level of
fitness as well as a good head for heights and a desire for thrilling
adventure!
PLEASE NOTE: This route is a technical scramble. Nothing
that requires the use of ropes and you will be very well looked after by both
myself (Ilaria) and Chris and it’s a great opportunity to challenge yourself in
the mountains and learning new skills whilst supervised and giuided by a
qualified mountain leader and a trainee mountain leader.
Bethesda (you can park there for free in some places). We will provide more
info in thre Whattsup group you will join once you book.
Difficulty: Intermediate/Hard – this is scramble route more
than it is a hiking day.
Age: 18+
What do I need to bring?
Walking boots/hiking trainers are essential, preferably with
ankle support. No normal trainers of any kind, pumps or sliders allowed.
HEADTORCH is a must as we will be descending as it gets dark
Water (at least 2 liters minimum), food and drinks (we also
recommend bringing a flask with a hot drink)
Extra warm layers (the weather in the mountains can change
suddenly)
Waterproof jacket
Rucksack
Sunhat and sun cream
walking poles (optional)
Sunglasses
Extra battery for phone charge
We recommend bringing a change of clothes to have in the car
on your return
