Britain's What's On Event Guide
Guided Insect Walk at Rye Meads
Following on from the success of our Dragonfly and Damselfly Guided Walk earlier in the year we are happy to say that we will be joined by Roy, a local expert, once again for another!
This time we will be searching for insects but will keep a close eye out for Dragonflies and Damselflies. Starting at the Visitor Centre we will head out onto the reserve and stop at various places to see the insects that are around. We will talk about the pressures that insects are facing, their life cycles and what you can do to help them. Make sure you bring your binoculars and cameras to ensure you capture the insects that call Rye Meads home.
The walk will last around 2 hours and is on established paths that are suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. We also have a mobility scooter that is available for hire with no extra charge, but please ring beforehand on 01992 708383 to book.
Please note this event is weather dependent and in the event that the weather prevents the walk from going ahead we will aim to rearrange it to a new date. If you are unable to make the new date you will be issued with a full refund.
