'Ciphers' is a 45 minute extract from a full opera that tells the story of the two brilliant and complex people who came together to decipher an ancient text, Linear B. She, a professor from Brooklyn and he, a young British architect. She laid the groundwork. He had a stroke of genius. ‘Ciphers’ is the story of their clashing personalities, thwarted ambition, success, and tragedy.
