Britain's What's On Event Guide
Heritage Open Days
Discover more about Royston's fascinating history at Royston Museum and Royston Parish Church this September as part of Heritage Open Days.
At Royston Museum...
On Saturdays and Sundays during Hertiage Open Days, get up close to real objects from our past and make fun crafts to take home. Plus, we’ll have all our usual hands-on family fun to enjoy.
On Thursday 12 September at 1pm, join Curator Sophie, for a 30 minute pop-up talk all about our town's fascinating history.
The Museum is open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm, each week, and entry is free. For more information about the Museum and our other events, please visit our website: www.roystonmuseum.org.uk
At Royston Parish Church...
On Saturday 14 September, visit Royston's Parish Church of St John the Baptist. Discover the history of a place where monks, residents and travellers along the Icknield Way and Ermine Street have prayed for over 850 years. Enjoy a self-led or guided tour, children's activities and demonstrations of their historic bells and new organ. Plus, there will be delicious teas and cakes available to buy.
The Church is open weekdays from 10am-4pm. For more information about the Church and their weekly services, please visit their website: www.roystonparishchurch.org.uk
