Open day at Ullesthorpe Windmill, the five-storey windmill that has loomed oiver the village of Ullesthorpe for more than 200 years. The mill was built as a co-operative venture for making flour at the time of the Napoleonic Wars. It has some interesting outbuildings relating to the life of the mill - stable, cart-shed, pigsty etc and (although the sails are missing) the mill tower is full of fascinating old machinery. Knowledgeable guides will be on hand to explain all this.
