The Lime-thru Bakery
Embracing London’s booming bakery culture, Lime is opening London’s first-ever ‘ride-thru’ bakery - the Lime-thru Bakery - in Shoreditch from 6th – 8th September. It will feature a unique service hatch designed specifically for cyclists to reduce queues and make it more convenient than ever for Londoners to pick up their latest Instagrammable sweet treat.
At the event in Shoreditch, the epicentre of bakery culture, ‘Limers’ will be able to get their hands on a limited-edition lime-flavoured pastry designed, baked and supplied by Pophams, one of East London’s favourite bakeries. Crafted especially for the experience, the limited-edition pastry features a delicious flaky exterior, filled with tongue-tingling lime curd, sweet white chocolate cremeux, and moist coconut sponge, topped with a swirl of Italian meringue and a sprinkle of matcha.
Guests will be able to enjoy their one-of-a-kind pastries with artisan brews from Notion Coffee. Any riders who would rather ‘eat in’ can park up in the bakery, take a seat at the custom-built Lime bike coffee bar, or recline on one of the many sofas or armchairs inside the bakery. They’ll also be able to check out the bakery’s exclusive artwork by observational meme artist and social sensation The Real Housewives of Clapton.
The Lime-thru Bakery will be open from 6th – 8th September between 9am and 1pm, at Protein Studios, 31 New Inn Yard, EC2A 3EY. To claim a complimentary pastry, coffee and 15-minute LimePass, customers need to download and register on the Lime app. Visitors are advised to arrive earlier to avoid disappointment as the limited-edition pastries will be served daily on a first-come, first-served basis.
