Christ Church Burbage
Heritage Open Day: Everyone is welcome to come. The church is open to visitors with historical documents and photos display.
There will be a guided tour of the churchyard and local area with reference to notable local people buried here and their Burbage connection. Christ Church Burbage built in 1861 with land and money provided by the Duke of Devonshire. It has an elaborately decorated chancel( the Robert Mellor memorial) and many stained glass windows dedicated to local people. the file compiled by NADFAS gives detailed descriptions of all the artifacts and stained glass windows

There are over two thousand graves in the churchyard.
