The history of Tideswell village
Heritage Open Day: The history of Tideswell village, ancient industries, wealth, and community. Information on the ancient origins of this Peak District village.
We will feature details of Tideswell residents past and present and the social and industrial development of the village from Roman times, including the building of what is known as 'The Cathedral of the Peak' (St John the Baptist church).
Tideswell Saint John the Baptist
There will be access to the church although scaffolding may be in place in parts of the building. We will provide guides for a walk itinerary. This will include uneven surfaces and some ascents/descents.

Morning Walk: 11:00 a.m. ( sign up 10:30-10:55 Max 20 people)
Afternoon walk: 2 :00 p.m. ( sign up 1:30 -1:55 Max 20 people)
