Heritage Open Day: Visit the Society’s Research Centre in Leicester’s famous ‘Every Street’ and find out more about the cinema which was part of the building. A great opportunity to look down onto Leicester’s Town Hall Square from a different vantage point !
The building at 7-9 Every Street once formed the rear of the Picture House, a popular Leicester cinema which opened in 1910 and closed in 1973.
There will be a small exhibition of photographs of Town Hall Square over the years and of the Picture House.
All the Society’s family history resources will also be available for visitors to use.
