Heritage Open Day: Visit Heckington Windmill and immerse yourself in the history of the mill through our interactive museum, take a climb up the the mill tower, step back into history as you follow the journey of the grain. We are a volunteer run site and proud to welcome visitors to the Grade I listed mill set in the heart of Lincolnshire. With our welcoming visitor centre and tearooms you are sure to have a wonderful day.
Worked up an appetite? Take a walk past the cart and engine shed to our award winning tearooms for some fresh cakes made by our onsite bakehouse, enjoy a panini or homemade soup in the garden room, parlour or study.
Don't forget to visit our onsite shop for some souvenirs or treats to take back home.
Saturday the 7th of September will be extra special as our engineers will be milling and steaming for visitors, a fantastic opportunity to see them at work and let the sounds and smell take you back in time.
