Ancient Hillfort, Viking Living History village and Chainsaw Artist.
Heritage Open Day: Hunsbury Hill Country Park houses a 2,500 year-old Iron-age Hillfort.
On 7th/8th September a Viking re-enactment group will be in the park showing typical Living History, with battles & ambushes.
A Chainsaw Artist will be there on 7th September. As well as the 2,500-year-old Iron-age Hillfort to discover, a Viking village will be amongst the trees, demonstrating Living History during the 9th and 10th centuries, when Vikings were here in Britain.
There will be ambushes, skirmishes and battles, some involving the younger members of the public! (Don't worry, all is strictly controlled.) A A Viking ship will be here (not in water!) for all to explore, as well.
