The Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey

Heritage Open Day: FREE admission for all! Come along and see what's on offer at our museum showcasing the history of the Cambridgeshire Fens. The Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey is opening its doors to everyone on Saturday 14th September.

Home to Benedictine Monks, Knights Templars and Franciscan Nuns, before becoming a farmhouse, the stories of Denny Abbey's inhabitants can be seen in its exposed pillars, beams and arches. The Farmland Museum sits in the grounds of Denny Abbey and showcases farming and domestic artefacts used in this part of the Cambridgeshire Fens up to the middle of the last century.

There is normally an admission charge to access the whole site, but for for one day only it's free to take a look around this fascinating site and find out more about its 850 year history.

If, like many people, you've driven past on the A10 for years and wondered what's here, now is the perfect chance to find out!
