Explore & Discover: Open House at St. Mary’s Church Old Harlow
Heritage Open Day: St. Mary’s Church will be open to explore and discover a little bit of history on your doorstep, and enjoy a delicious cream tea. St. Mary’s beautiful Church will be open to welcome all visitors between 10am-3pm. Activities planned are a self guided tour of the Church to discover the historical and architectural highlights including the interesting stained glass windows, flower and harvest displays, have a go at brass rubbing, a visit to our bell tower (accessible via narrow stone spiral steps) and try ringing a bell, a churchyard trail to notice the Commonwealth War graves and other interesting features and explore the wonderful nature. Refreshments will be available throughout the day - hot and cold drinks, cakes and cream teas. Suitable for all ages!
