Great Ellingham One-Place Study presents 'GREAT ELLINGHAM CONNECTED'

Heritage Open Day: An imaginative exhibition exploring some of Great Ellingham’s fascinating history. Displays showing village roads and ancient footways, connected village families and community interaction by way of former clubs, societies & meeting places. An inspired local history exhibition following the Heritage Open Days theme of Routes - Networks - Connections. Held in the historic Crown Public House, the eye-catching presentation will include extracts from the Great Ellingham Inclosure Map c.1802, showing the routes of the roads at that time, as well as fourteen centuries old footways. Social networking is not a new phenomenon. In the past, (and even without the likes of social media), ‘social networking’ took place in other ways.
Sat 7 Sep:1100-1600; Sun 8 Sep:1100-1600; Free Entry.
The Crown Public House, 30 Church Street, Great Ellingham, Attleborough, Norfolk NR17 1LE
