Britain's What's On Event Guide
King's Lynn Public Library
Heritage Open Day: A little Carnegie gem with usually unseen extras for Heritage Open Days. King's Lynn Library will be open for an opportunity to see some of the books and archives not normally available for public viewing. Not only will some of the books from the library's older collections be on show, such as the original Stanley collection, but some parts of the building itself, normally closed to the public, will be unlocked for viewing! Come along to find out more about the history of the library, from its opening in 1905 by Andrew Carnegie, the Scottish-American industrialist who donated the money to establish it.
