The Bank House
Heritage Open Day: Explore the large wine vault. A very fine Grade II* listed late 17th century town house with the original banking house attached with three arched windows and Ionic pillars built in 1789. Two storeys and dormer attic with good canted bay windows and the very striking statue of Charles I added later over the door. Now converted into a superior little hotel and restaurant.
Extraordinary large and spacious wine vaults for you to visit. Take care of rough ground and steps in the tunnels.
Open for meals, teas, coffee and cakes and bar. Bank House famous afternoon teas must be pre-booked.
