Heritage Open Day: A display tracing the development of the textiles industry in Norwich. While the middle of the 18th century saw Norwich widely acknowledged as the country’s pre-eminent centre for textiles manufacture, less than a century later the industry in the city was set on a course of terminal decline. Join us to view a special selection of items from our collections, including photographs, maps, prints and more, that explores the development of this story and the many routes, networks and connections involved. This is a drop-in event.
