Britain's What's On Event Guide
Waterloo Park, Norwich
Heritage Open Day: Visit Captain Sandys-Winsch's beautiful Grade II listed park, redesigned in the 1930s. As well as great views from the pavilion balcony, there will be flowerbeds in bloom, live music, and exhibitions of the history of the park and its bowling club. Enjoy the view from the balcony of the Pavilion. See the new exhibition of the interesting history of the park, a treasured gem that is loved by all who know it. Waterloo Park was first opened in 1904 during a period when Norwich was expanding rapidly, but the park as it appears today was completely redesigned during the inter-war period by the city's Superintendent of Parks, Captain Sandys-Winsch.
