Heritage Open Day: In 2023 /4 students worked with a professional artist to create modern versions of traditional 1920s railway posters, this exhibition displays the finished works and gives an insight into the collaborations & creative process in creating these works Railway posters are a much-loved and respected part of graphic design history from the early 20th-century, particularly the 1920s through to the 1950s. These hand-drawn artworks and striking text inspired holidays to the countryside, seaside and other destinations, boosting tourism and rail travel.
Wherry Lines Posters re-imagines the traditional railway poster of the early 20th-century and invites you to experience the awe-inspiring Norfolk and Suffolk Broads via the Wherry Lines railway.
