Heritage Open Day: St. Cuthbert's Darlington, the Church in the Market Place is preparing to undergo a transformation, as we 'Open Our Doors', offering access for all to our architectural, historical and musical traditions. Experience this outstanding 13th century building, its past, present and future. Hear the mighty organ played. We will have a facsimile of the Lindisfarne Gospels on display. You can have a tour of the bell tower and try your hand at bell ringing. Find out about the town centre's oldest building and some of its hidden secrets. refreshments and cakes will be available throughout the day.
