Heritage Open Day: Visit The Common Room, tour our fabulous Grade II* Listed building and see some of the gems of our collection! The Common Room is a charity, archive and heritage venue. We are the custodians of Neville Hall, historically the home of the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers since 1872. Our General Admission Day guarantees access to our beautifully refurbished building and provides an opportunity to chat with our friendly room guides to learn about the history of the venue and our archives & collections on display. Our 5|Quarter café bar also provides fresh coffee and cakes on the day.
