Heritage Open Day: A fantastic free day of film showings about the history of Newcastle's West End. Join St James' Heritage and Environment Group for a continuous programme of films about the history of Newcastle's West End. Starting with an introduction to the historic parish graveyard and the heritage group who look after it, the programme includes films on a variety of subjects including the industrial history of the Riverside from the Quayside to Lemington, the First World War munitions workers and the legacy of the Roman occupation.
