Explore this historic landscape including the Mere, once part of Burton Manor estate, home of Henry Neville Gladstone, son of Prime Minister William Gladstone. Visit the remains of the Iron Age hillfort on Burton Point and discover the estuary’s past and the spread of the marshes, following the canalisation of the Dee in 1737.

Limited disabled access (Mere and Wetland Trail fully accessible; route to Burton Point unsuitable for those with mobility problems).
