St. Werburgh Roman Catholic Church

Heritage Open Day: A chance to drop in and visit St. Werburgh's Church in Chester. Completed in 1875, a fine example of Thirteenth Century Early English style, by Edmund Kirby. Refurbished in 2002. Stained glass windows. Much acclaimed 3 manual Binns/Sixsmith organ installed 2004. Visitors will receive notes giving a short history of the church and a plan showing its significant features. At each feature there will be more information. The visitors will be on a self-guided tour, though stewards will be present to answer questions.
