A Railway Town and its Park: Victorian Foresight
Heritage Open Day: To reflect on the words at the Park's dedication: A Park to provide pleasure and happiness to the community for generations to come. Richard Moon, 1887. A talk and walk session. Starting at the Bowls Pavilion, the tour will include a brief history and consider Moon's words well over a century ago. The Victorian designers and engineers were also philanthropists and their foresight and the provision of Queen's Park continues to provide an important green space for its visitors so many years later.
