King Edward Street chapel
Heritage Open Day: Built in 1690, King Edward Street chapel is one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in Macclesfield. It was among the very first non-conformist chapels to be built in the UK and has been a Unitarian Chapel since the 18th Century. The chapel will be open for visits, with current members of the community available to discuss and explain the building's history and its current use as a Unitarian place of worship. Copies of key historic documents will be available to view.
Light refreshments will be available (tea, coffee, herbal teas).
