Heritage Open Day: Visitors can enjoy the massive scale and sheer beauty of this magnificent church. Its green copper dome has dominated the Wirral skyline ever since it was built in 1935.
The church interior is a haven of peace and tranquillity. This Grade II listed iconic building stands as a testament to the faith of its founder, Father Thomas Mullins, and to the faith of the local Catholic community.
It is known locally as The Dome of Home because its massive dome was the first welcome landmark for sailors returning home to the port of Liverpool during the Second World War.
The full restoration of the church was completed in 2022 and visitors can now enjoy the peace and beauty of its lovely interior.
