Weedon Alms Houses

Heritage Open Day: Private walled communal courtyard gardens of Weedon Almshouses - celebrating their 400th year. Founded in 1624 by the bequest of Thomas Weedon of Pednor, Weedon Almshouses were rebuilt in the late nineteenth century of flint rubble and red brick quoins. The four almshouses with their gables, barge-boards and chimneystacks are rarely properly enjoyed as they sit behind a high flint wall, obscured from the road. The almshouses were listed Grade II on 7 September 1973. The Almshouses are celebrating their 400th anniversary this year.

Visitors will be able to enter the charming private communal courtyard garden and appreciate for themselves these picturesque almshouses within the confines of the garden.
