Pann Mill Open Day
Heritage Open Day: Restored working water mill open to visitors. The last working water mill on the River Wye in High Wycombe.
There have been watermills for grinding corn on this site since before the Norman Conquest. At least 4 mills have occupied the site since then.
The previous Georgian mill was demolished in 1971 but the site and major components were taken over by the High Wycombe Society and a restoration project started. The Victorian cast iron water wheel was refurbished, and other working parts restored, so that stone ground flour can once again be produced.
Visitors can see how a small mill operates and purchase wholemeal flour, freshly ground from locally grown wheat.
The mill is set in an attractive garden
