St Mary's Bletchley - Celebrating Weddings
Heritage Open Day: Visit this historic 12th century church and enjoy a celebration of weddings over the decades. Throughout history, St Mary’s church has seen many couples begin their married life with a wedding ceremony in this 12th-century building. There will be a display of wedding dresses from different decades, kindly loaned to us by Bletchley residents and church members. Come and see how fashions have changed over the years. We will also be displaying wedding photographs and various wedding memorabilia. There will be an opportunity to view the Church of England Wedding Service and see how the responses have changed to reflect different times.
The church is a member of the Quiet Garden Movement so why not sit and reflect in our quiet spaces? Refreshments will be served on both days.
No booking required. Tours are self-guided but there will be volunteers available to help on request.
