Britain's What's On Event Guide
Explore Westbury with a Guide
Heritage Open Day: There has been a house on this site for over 1000 years – and now Westbury is a thriving arts venue. For MK HODs we are offering several guided property tours. Come and explore this historic property which links to Milton Keynes past. Westbury is a fascinating old building with a date stone from 1670. But the site is much older. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book and there was a house here long before the Normans arrived. Part of the original moat still exists. Now it houses an arts centre but is also home to several protected species such as bats and great crested newts.
We are offering several guided tours of the old building and gardens. Come along and hear about the intriguing history of Westbury, the people who lived and worked here and the mystery of the Armada Door! (Did it come from the Armada? You decide!)
Tours will be limited to 20 people per tour on a first come first served basis.
