Heritage Open Day: A great opportunity to watch the traditional art of spinning on a 13th century (reproduction) spinning wheel, to have a go at drop spinning and to learn about the craft of wool dyeing using plants from the garden. We're delighted to have a member of the East Sussex Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers on site giving a fascinating demonstration of traditional spinning on a 13th century (reproduction) spinning wheel. A chance to have a go at drop spinning and to learn about dyeing wool using plants from the garden or hedgerow.
