Lewes Priory School Memorial Chapel (in Mountfield Road, on the south side between
East Sussex College and Priory School) was completed in 1960 to the design of SirEdward Maufe, architect of Guildford Cathedral. It was built as a chapel for the Lewes County Grammar School for Boys (1930-1969) as an IWM Registered war memorial to 55 former students killed during World War II.
