Egyptology after Hours: Museum late at the Petrie Museum of Egyptian & Sudanese Archaeology
Heritage Open Day: Explore our world-famous Egyptology collection after hours! With children’s colouring activities and friendly guides on hand to answer your questions, join us on a 350,000-year journey through the story of Ancient Egypt! The Petrie Museum houses an estimated 80,000 objects, making it one of the greatest collections of Egyptian and Sudanese archaeology in the world. Focusing on 'objects of daily use', the unique and personal items used by ancient peoples, we explore life in the Nile Valley from prehistory through the time of the pharaohs, the Ptolemaic, Roman, and Coptic periods to the Islamic Age.
