Our beautiful 1888 beam engine was
part of a sewage treatment works
that saved thousands of lives in
Tottenham. Our museum celebrates
the development of sanitation, an important but often overlooked part of history. The engine itself is a masterpiece of Victorian engineering that is still fully functional today.
Sun 8 Sep:We will be open 10am - 4pm with steaming demonstrations at 12.30-1.15pm and 2.30-3.15pm. We will aim to run tours of the wider site at regular intervals (volunteer dependent).; Sat 14 Sep:Open 10am - 3.30pm with kids craft activities from 11am. We will aim to run tours at regular intervals throughout the day (subject to volunteer availability); Free Entry.
