Britain's What's On Event Guide
The Guards Museum
Heritage Open Day: You may know them as the soldiers who guard Buckingham Palace, come along and discover why they are so much more at this weekend of family fun!
5 Regiments. 380 years of history. We tell their story. We are The Guards Museum: representing the soldiers that you may have seen guarding Buckingham Palace, with scarlet tunics and bearskin caps standing tall and serious. But do you know them as the soldiers in the trenches of the First World War or on the fields of Afghanistan? We cover nearly 400 years of rich history behind the five regiments of Foot Guards – a history that spans from the beginning of the British Army to the present day.
