Heritage Open Day: The 1920s & 1930s were the Golden Age of Aviation. The 1920s and 1930s was marked by some significant advancements in aircraft design, technology and the rapidly increasing culture of aviation. These were feats of engineering but also sources of profound artistic inspiration. The 1930s was a transformative decade for aviation. Recovering from the Great Depression, aeronautical innovation was considered a beacon of hope as it symbolised progress and the breaking of boundaries.
