Heritage Open Day: The National Coastwatch Institution was created 30 years ago to provide Visual and Radio support to the Maritime Coastguard Agency through watch towers around the coast of the United Kingdom This illustrated talk covers the history and function of Coastwatch and gives illustrations of the type of incidents dealt with by the watchkeepers on a daily basis.
