The Weigh House and the Weigh House Vault
Heritage Open Day: The Weigh House and neighbouring vault is an historic building in French Street, in the Old Town, with a fascinating history. From Friday 6th to Sunday 8th of September we will be opening some of our recently repaired vaults and monuments for the public to explore.
The Weigh House and the Weigh House Vault will be open from 10.00-15.00 (last entry 14.30). Maximum capacity is 30.
We will have volunteers welcoming visitors along with information boards and leaflets sharing the history of the monument, recent repairs, and ongoing and future conservation.
We will also be opening Quilters Vault, the Vault under 88 High Street plus Canute's Palace just a short walk away by Town Quay Park.
