Heritage Open Day: An exhibition of stalls and a programme of talks by a number of local history societies which will present a comprehensive picture of what is currently happening in Hampshire history The event will take place on Saturday 14 September 2024 at the Ashburton Hall in the Queen Elizabeth II building of the Hampshire County Council in Sussex Street, Winchester. It is being organised by the Hampshire Field Club and Archaeological Society and will be open to the public from 1000 to 1600. The event will feature a number of stalls staffed by members of Hampshire History Societies, who will illustrate with displays the activities and publications which they currently carry out.
In addition from 1100-1300 and 1400-1600 there will be a series of short talks which will present the work of being undertaken by these societies. Visitors will get a comprehensive picture of the wide range of activity being carried out in the field of Hampshire local history.
