History of North Deal
Heritage Open Day: This year the Addelam History Research Group present research on North Deal. This has been one area of industry from earliest times, initially with ship related trades such as sail and rope making then brewing then a canning factory. Windmills were added around 1800 with the huge growth in local population due to the Napoleonic wars and leisure pursuits with a links golf course in the later part of the 19th century.
Members of Addelam History Research Group will be on hand to answer questions and offer help with your own research.
