Step back in time at Deal Town Hall
Heritage Open Day: Deal Town Hall is an elegant Georgian Grade II listed building dating from 1803. Visitors to the Town Hall this Heritage Open Day can step back in time thanks to a unique photographic exhibition of Deal entitled ‘Life Through a Lens’. Deal Town Council holds the Cavell Collection, an archive of photographs, postcards, lithographs, engravings and posters from across the centuries depicting the history of the town. Not only will a selection from the collection be on display, visitors will also have the chance to learn more about the family who complied the pictures. The Cavell name was synonymous with Deal and Cavell Square continues to perpetuate the family name.
