Oxford International Song Festival at Holywell Music Room
Heritage Open Day: Over 250 years old, the location for many hundreds of recitals and concert series featuring prestigious visiting musicians. Join Oxford International Song Festival in Holywell Music Room, the oldest purpose-built music room in Europe, and Britain’s first concert hall! Mezzo-soprano Angharad Rowlands and pianist (and Artistic Director of the Festival) Sholto Kynoch perform a short informal series of songs reflecting this year’s theme, including Haydn (who famously performed in the Holywell Music Room) and Schubert, at regular intervals through the morning. Drop in at any time to listen or chat about this year’s Festival.
