Heritage Open Day: Discover the Studio, the conversion and adaptive reuse of one of Oxford's many light industrial buildings which can be found down side streets all over the city. The Studio is the conversion and adaptive reuse of one of Oxford's many light industrial buildings which can be found down side streets all over the city. The building is between the busy thoroughfares of Cowley Road and St Clements down a narrow lane off Dawson Street, now a pedestrianised street with seating for the restaurants and cafes making it a busy social hub. The building, formerly empty and disused is now the home to Original Field of Architecture and makes a positive contribution to the public realm whilst retaining the language and materials of its industrial past. The Studio was an Oxford Preservation Trust Small Projects Award winner in 2022.
