Heritage Open Day: Collectors who travelled the world in search of new plants. Peter Bridgeman will give a description of native and exotic trees and details of some 18th 19th and 20th century collectors who travelled to all parts of the world, often risking all, to hunt down and introduce plants and trees into this country. An outline of the reasons behind The Mutiny on the Bounty will add a little drama to the talk.
