Heritage Open Day: Nineteenth century barn consecrated as a church in 1930. St Michael's Barn Church, tucked away in Farley Green, is one of four churches in the Parish of Albury, Guildford and was built between 1840 and 1840. In 1929, Clara Courtenay-Wells gifted the Barn to the local community, which was to be converted into a church as a memorial to her husband, the local farmer of Cherrymans Farm. It was dedicated as a Chapel of Ease in 1930. The St Michael's Church Fabric Fund Trust was formed in the mid-1980s to support the Parochial Church Council with maintenance costs through annual appeals and fund-raising activities.
