Old Shoreham Heritage - Routes, networks and connections in song
Heritage Open Day: An evening of songs about routes, networks and connections, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Old Shoreham Conservation Area at the heart of this ancient crossroads of Sussex-by-the-sea.. The Old Shoreham Heritage Festival has been organised as part of this year's Heritage Open Days to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Old Shoreham Conservation Area and the 75th anniversary of the Grade 1 listing of St Nicolas Church, Adur's oldest building. Old Shoreham has been a crossroads since the earliest settlers landed here, working the land and carving routes to all points of the compass.
The Festival includes an art exhibition, walks, talks and workshops and local musicians will be enlivening events throughout the week.
