SS Freshspring
Heritage Open Day: Come onbard SS Freshspring and explore the engine room, Captain's cabin, wheelhouse and crew's mess. Experience our virtual reality film and learn how to use Morse code. We also have a teddy bear hunt for younger children to enjoy. Join us to explore and find out about the history of our unique Freshwater carrier the SS Freshspring, moored on Landivisiau Walk in Bideford.
We look forward to welcoming you on board where you can do a self-guided tour of the ship. Other activities will be on offer including rope-making and Morse code.
Live music will be played to accompany you!
You can find out about volunteering opportunities and talk to our knowledgeable volunteers about the history of the ship and our Trust.
You can also find out about membership.
Please note that there are no toilets on board but public toilets are available nearby.
We are wheelchair accessible onto the main deck.
